Organisations Join Forces To Deliver Workshop for Young NEETS

On  Tuesday 4th April,  Norwood Community Group Services (NCGS), Nubia Ltd, Inspire Futures Group Ltd and Job Centre Plus, forged partnership together to deliver a three day  communication and presentation workshop for young NEETS in West Norwood.

The ‘Speak and Present’ workshop, held at The Old Library Hub in West Norwood that ran during the course of three days, equipped young people with the foundation and skills on how to communicate and present themselves in an effective way.

Young people were awarded with certificates in completion of the three day workshop and were offered the opportunity to gain work-experience with the partnering organisations.

“It was our first experience using Angela and we are delighted with the workshop in every way.  Even more important our young clients also thought it was good and they enjoyed the three days and valued the new skills they learned”, said Micheal Wood, Inspire Futures Group Ltd.

“I am happy to transfer my knowledge and skills to help young people develop themselves in a professional way through communication”, said Angela Rahman, who facilitated the Workshop.

“We are happy to support and equip young people within our vicinity and across Lambeth, particularly at these challenging economic times, as they search for work”, said Jamal Rahman, Chief Executive of NCGS.

The Speak and Learn workshop is available for young people between the ages of 16-24, not in education, employment or training (NEETS).
