Name of course 1 Football/Basic Rules
Brief description of the course This is an AQA accredited course which introduces learners to the importance of the basic rules in football. This course is facilitated by qualified coaches in a safe and structured environment.
Aims and Objectives 1. Basic Rules – past accurately
2. Receive a ball correctly
3. Take a free kick correctly.
4. Take a corner kick correctly.
5. Take a throw correctly.
6. Take a penalty kick correctly.
7. Take a goal kick correctly.
Learning OutcomesPlease describe the learning outcomes that young people will receive for taking part in the activity The learning outcomes within this unit is for the students to be able to name at least six rules relating to playing an eleven a side game of football

Provide details of course or activity content:
Unit description/Football/Basic Rules: The student will learn through instruction, demonstration and practical experience the basic rules applied to football.

Brief description of the course This is an AQA accredited course which introduces learners to the basic rules of basketball. This course is facilitated by qualified coaches in a safe and structured environment.
Aims and Objectives 1. Pass a basketball accurately.2. Receive a basketball correctly.3. Dribble a basketball head up.4. Score a minimum of 5 baskets from 10 shots.5. Play quick break
Learning OutcomesPlease describe the learning outcomes that young people will receive for taking part in the activity 1. To learn the basic rules of basketball.2. To learn the basic refereeing signals for infringements.3. To learn the important of team play4. To learn how to break down a man to man defence5. To learn how to play in a zone defence.

This is a practical indoor/outdoor unit in which the student will demonstrate the ability to perform a variety of basic skills and play as a team member. The student will show knowledge of the basic rules of the game. The student will learn through participation in practical activities and through teacher instruction/tuition.
